Memorial Day public meeting will be held May 25, 2013.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the Labor Day public meeting of LWLA to be held Sunday September 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Tyrone Fire Hall.

A Note about the LWLA Directory Status:

Dear Residents:

I am who engaged your association to be the publishing agent for the Lamoka / Waneta Lake directory. As you know this book never physically materialized although we had made significant progress and even printed most of it. The reason it never was distributed is because I and my company had an unrecoverable breakdown preventing final completion of the project. I don't want to go into the details but it was severe and devastating on many levels. What is critical to understand is that it had everything to do with me and NOTHING to do with your excellent association. The association provided me with everything I needed and complied with every deadline I asked of them and were wonderful to deal with. I let them down and I let you down. So many of you sent in your photos and material and we really had a great book put together. So please accept my apologies. I will make it up to you this year with a great 2013 book! I am indeed real - and not some fictitious entity. I publish several other lake books as well as a biweekly newspaper and have been in the business for 20 years.

So for the 2013 edition of the new directory which will be distributed and will be great please if I could ask you to once again send in your material for the "year book" aspect of the book - your memorable photos from last year with captions or anything else you might like to share such as recipes or articles - anything that expresses how much you cherish and enjoy the very special feeling of the lakes community. Please e-mail those submissions to lwlakebook@charmgraphics.com (preferred method) or mail to MoneySaver, 9106 Cattaraugus rd. Springville, NY 14141 attention: Mark The deadline to receive this material is April 22, 2013.

Sincerely,

Mark Maussner

2013 Dues

It has been brought to our attention that our recent mailing neglected to include the amount of the annual dues. We apologize for this oversight and wanted to let you know they are $20 per family for the period 1/1/13 to 12/31/13. Also in the mailing you will find a stamped return envelope. Many may wonder why we choose to take on this additional expense but we view it as an investment to ensure our records are as current as possible. We would ask that even if you choose not to pay your dues, please at least review the form and mail it back to the association so we can confirm the information. This data is used for communications on the Lakes Treatment, future directories, and other mailings. It is very important that it is as current as possible and we can only to that with your help. Again we apologize for the confusion surrounding the dues and thank you for your support. Sincerely, LWLA Board of Directors

Attention Waneta Lake Residents and users: As you are taking your boats out this fall look for DEC signs at the launch. There is a drop off at the end of the launch that can result in your trailer getting stuck. The DEC has painted a white line between the two cleats on the launch side of the dock. They advise not to let the wheels of your tires go past that line.
